I am drawn to the emotion I feel from the human face and the transcendence I feel in nature. The immediacy and urgency of these feelings are what I strive to express!

Testimonials
Praise for "Ocean Going Backwards":
"Created during the course of a full year, the art in the "May You Live in Interesting Times" Exhibit at Art Students League NYC, includes a wide array of media. Some works are the product of years of practice, while others seem to arise with an inexplicable immediacy. J Look's video is a prime example of the immediate creative impulse. I asked for a video that would not be possible in the real world. Without hesitating, Look replied that she would like to see the ocean going backwards. So, shot in the artist's home state of South Carolina, this work is now a loop of reversed video showing waves repeatedly cresting backwards. Upon initial viewing, it is difficult to discern what's amiss in "Ocean Going Backwards". Only after repeatedly watching this hypnotic moving image does one realize that the artist is presenting nothing less than the reverse polarization of gravity."

"This bouquet has attitude.....This is not a classical bouquet. Those stems are black and rudimentary and chaotic, BUT, when I see the pattern of the pink rose in the middle of the green ones, these stems are holding everything together in their strong loving arms!"
